Mentoring The Elite

POLICIES

How we look after your athlete.

MTE's child safe, privacy, complaints and emergency response policies.

Six policies, one document. Summarised here, in full in the PDF.

Mentoring The Elite works with children and young people, so these are not boilerplate. The full text is published as one document and that document is what governs — each summary below says what its policy covers, not what it commits MTE to.

Child Safe Policy

MTE has zero tolerance for child abuse. The policy covers how staff, contractors and volunteers are recruited and screened — including Working with Children Checks and police checks — how children are supervised, who the Child Safe Officer is, and the legal reporting obligations when anyone forms a reasonable belief that a child is at risk.

Complaints Handling Policy

How to raise a concern and what happens after you do. Complaints involving children are investigated under this policy, and anyone who is the subject of a child-related complaint can be stood down while it is looked into.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

What is expected of members, staff and contractors on the premises, and how MTE responds when that expectation is not met.

Medical Emergency Response Policy

What happens if an athlete is injured or becomes unwell during a session — who responds, in what order, and when a parent or guardian is contacted.

Privacy Policy

What personal and health information MTE collects, why, who it may be shared with, and how to request access or correction. There is a plain-English summary of this one, including what this website specifically collects.

Social Media Policy

Guidelines for members, parents and guardians on social media use connected to MTE, and the rule that parents and guardians must not photograph or film members on the premises.
